Press release: PVI Industries acquires Fomeco Group

PVI Group Acquires Majority Stake in Fomeco Group – A Strategic Union Shaping the Future of Tube Solutions for Commercial Vehicles and Industry.

We are proud to announce that the majority of shares in the Fomeco Group — comprising Fomeco NV in Belgium and Fomeco do Brasil Ltda — have been acquired by the PVI Group. This marks a defining milestone in the evolution of both companies. The strategic merger unites two leading industrial players, and we are thrilled about the promising future this partnership unlocks.

Under the terms of the agreement, 70% of the shares in the new parent company PVI Fomeco BV will be acquired by PVI Tube Forming AB, a subsidiary of PVI Industries. The remaining 30% will be reinvested by Vincent Bayart, current owner and CEO of Fomeco.

Fomeco is a globally recognized manufacturer of high-quality tubular products, including exhaust tubes, cooling pipes, and various chassis components. As a first-tier supplier, Fomeco serves prominent manufacturers of trucks, buses, off-road vehicles, and industrial machinery. With production facilities in Zwevegem (Belgium) and Brazil, and a trade and engineering office in Pune, India, the group employs over 300 people and generates a combined turnover of nearly €45 million.
PVI Industries(PVI Industries) is an industrial group headquartered in Västerås, Sweden, with a turnover of approximately SEK 1.6 billion and 530 employees. Its owner, Per Vannesjö with family, is also the principal shareholder of two similar industrial groups: Inducore AB and AnVa Industries AB. Together with these groups — now including the Fomeco Group — the combined turnover exceeds SEK 5 billion, with a total workforce of around 2,200 employees.
"Fomeco brings deep expertise in tube processing and perfectly complements the capabilities of our existing companies. We see strong potential for synergies and are excited to welcome Fomeco into our group, with excellent prospects for mutual growth," says Anders Thålin, CEO of PVI Tube Forming.

"Fomeco has built a strong reputation for reliability, long-term partnerships, and customer value. With a broad customer base and successful collaborations in both Europe and Brazil, I look forward to supporting Fomeco’s continued success as part of our industrial family," adds Per Vannesjö, owner of PVI Industries.

Vincent Bayart, CEO of Fomeco, shares his enthusiasm:
"For Fomeco, this merger marks a pivotal step in our journey of growth and long-term anchoring in an increasingly dynamic global market. We have written an incredible growth story with our wonderful Team. Today, through this strategic alliance, we are entering a new chapter as part of a major industrial group, allowing us to further expand and strengthen our position.

I chose to partner with the PVI Group because from the very beginning of our discussions, it was clear that our cultural and professional values were closely aligned. Both organizations share a strong commitment to continuous improvement, long-term vision, and sustainability — with people and collaboration at the core of everything we do."

The integration of PVI Tube Forming and Fomeco, positions the combined entity among the largest European suppliers of tubular products for commercial vehicles and machine builders. This union not only reinforces our market leadership but also enhances our ability to deliver superior performance, innovation, and value to our customers, partners, and employees.
